France leads the attack to stamp out 'harmful tax competition' around the world. Meanwhile, an astounding 38% of all the tax revenues in that nation go to pay the generous salaries and benefits enjoyed by pampered bureaucrats. It is for that reason and no other, that the crusade to kill tax competition continues. Why is it taking so long for the world to figure that out? In the meantime, the talent drain worsens that will ultimately undermine the economic fabric of France and other socialist countries with untenable tax systems.
